Modern English Tanka

.

replacing each other
seasons come and go
under the moon
every step I have taken
leads to your door
.

just before dawn
nine rosebuds
rest on the pillow
ready to bloom
for each shared year
.

weeping willow
we've passed every day
is sawed down
I can tell by your face
that you miss it
